Here are some photos of my friend Mike Ducker and myself at the Laser pumping manafold in 1990.

I converted these from slides with a digital camera and a table lamp, so don't rag me too much about the quality..

We are messing with a cryogenically cooled, ultra-high-vacuum (UHV) pump.
It uses liquid helium to condense gas molocules on a carbon adsorber.
"very cool".

Also shown are electro-polishing stainless steel, blanking plate fabrication and various pumping components.
